With a new fire selector switch taken straight from the M16 family, to an airflow-adjustment port for tweaking velocity and a new option for tactical sling attachment, the T68 Gen7 is truly state-of-the-art.

RAP4 started with the award-winning T68 body and redesigned it to add two great new features: a starboard velocity adjuster for fine-tuning your feet per second throughout the day, and an enlarged feed port for accepting First Strike rounds.

Now when the weather warms up and you start shooting just a little bit hot, you can quickly dial down the airflow to get back to field-legal. If your velocity drops off when you switch to smaller paint, no worries – open up the airflow a little and get back your lost range! The rear velocity adjuster takes you from 225fps up to 300fps, and the starboard adjuster helps you go foot-by-foot until you’re at optimum performance.

When you want extreme range and accuracy, switch from regular paint to First Strike rounds – also available from RAP4. The flared port inside the magazine well of the T68 Gen7 is designed specifically to accept First Strike rounds…and also new from RAP4 is a First Strike –compliant magazine to keep 18 shots ready under spring pressure.

You’ll need to replenish the air source some time, and that’s when you reveal one of the T68 Gen7′s biggest secrets: the onboard air source hidden within the stock. Slide the multi-position stock off of the marker, press a release button, and the stock’s mounting rail comes right out. Then grab the 4.5oz CO2 tank, or 88gram disposable CO2 canister, and unthread it directly from the rear of the receiver. 13ci compressed air tanks don’t even need to be removed – just hook a hose up to the quick-fill nipple and pour air inside.

As a brand new, optional accessory, RAP4 offers the T68 Gen7 with a rear sling attachment point integrated into the collapsible stock interface. This puts a one inch M1913 accessory rail onto your stock adapter so you can mount a host of RAP4 and mil-surplus tactical slings!

From the air-flow adjustment to the quick-detach stock rail, the fire control switch to the flared magazine port, the T68 Gen7 represents cutting-edge technical improvements to an award-winning design!

Sarawak to host paintball tourney

ATTRACTIVE cash prizes amounting to RM40,000 are up for grabs in the inaugural Sarawak Chief Minister’s Cup 2010 Paintball Tournament.

The tournament, the biggest in Borneo, is organised by Borneo Paintball Sports Club in collaboration with the Social Development and Urbanisation Ministry. It will be take place at the Jubilee Ground in Kuching on Oct 30 and 31.

The champions in the Open Division (Pro) will walk away with RM8,000 plus a trophy, medals, free Sarawak Cup 2011 registration fee and five boxes of paintballs.

The first runners-up will receive RM5,000, medals and free Sarawak Cup 2011 registration fee.

In the Rookie Division (New), the champions will receive RM3,000 plus a trophy, medals, free Sarawak Cup 2011 registration fee (Amateur Division) and five boxes of paintballs, while the first runners-up will get RM2,000 plus medals and free Sarawak Cup 2011 registration fee (Amateur Division).

Speaking at a press conference yesterday, organising co-chairman Soedirman Aini said the tournament was aimed at promoting extreme sports and unearthing new talents from the younger generation and provide local paintball players the opportunity to compete in major tournaments.

Borneo Paintball Sports Club liaison officer Paul Ajah said that 35 teams of seven people had registered for the tournament including teams from Kuala Lumpur, Labuan and Sabah.

“We even have top players in the Malaysia National Paintball League coming to compete. We hope to attract international players next year and this will be good for our tourism sector,” he said.

He added that paintball was a hit among Americans and Europeans with more than 10 million players while in Malaysia there were about 10,000.

Flatline Barrel System

The Flatline barrel is the first curved paintball barrel. The slight bend or arch, in addition to a roughly honed surface texture in the barrel, creates backspin on the ball which increases its range to upwards of 250+ feet (100 ft over a standard barrel) and creates a flat trajectory. With a regular paintball barrel, a player will often have to raise the angle at which he/she is shooting in order to reach the opposing player. The accuracy of this barrel system is dependent on more factors than a standard barrel. With backspin being put on the paintball, inconsistency in the shape of a paintball will create unusual trajectories. Another disadvantage is its tendency to break thin shelled paintballs more easily. However, this can be remedied by avoiding the use of low-grade paintballs.

The Flatline barrel shroud, on the 98 Custom, looks somewhat like that of a rifle and allows one to hold it as such. The 98 Custom Flatline shroud can be removed but is necessary to hide the unusual shape of the barrel. The standard shroud for the 98custom flatline system is made of dense plastic and comes as part of the system. The 98 Custom Flatline must be re-adjusted for accuracy whenever it is removed and reinstalled. Therefore it's a good idea to "mark" where the barrel is aligned for reinstallment. Also the flatline barrel curves above the markers normal sight system, which is replaced by the sight system integrated with the barrel shroud. The A-5 Flatline, which resembles a large suppressor (though it does not operate as one), only extends the length of the barrel, so the normal sight rail system is not changed. The A-5 Flatline system can be removed and installed to the same position, making it unnecessary to adjust unlike its predecessor the 98 Custom. Also the barrel system does not have any porting and is therefore louder than a typical paintball barrel.

It is also important to keep the marker adjusted to no more than 300 ft/s (91 m/s), for higher velocities cause paintballs to curve upwards before reaching its maximum distance, which in turn decreases the barrel's normally high effective range. Tilting the barrel to the left or right will also cause the trajectory to be altered in that direction.

The new Platinum Series flatline barrel is threaded and goes on like any other barrel.It also has a picatinny rail, where you can mount accessories that attach onto a rail system.

How to make a paintball silencer

step 1 : THE GOODS
*1* Pocket knife

*2* PVC slightly larger than your barrel

*3* PVC 1" larger than your barrel

*4* 2 PVC reducers that fit your PVC

*5* Drill with a dremel bit

*6* Paintball marker

*7* Cotton balls

*8* Black plastic spray paint

*9* Sand paper

*10* Hammer

*11* PVC cutter

*12* Hacksaw

step 2 : ASSEMBLING (part one)
Take your pocket knife and cut out that tiny ridge that keeps the pipe from going deeper into the reducer. Next, take the hammer and knock the reducer a good distance down the pipe. When you get the perfect position, move on to the next step.

step 3 : ASSEMBLING (part 2)
Firmly grasp your PVC Cutter and begin cutting the tube about 1" from the reducer. Make sure it is as straight as it can be, if not it will affect your accuracy.

step 4 : ASSEMBLING (part 3)
Take the drill and equip the smallest bit possible. Now, take the pipe and remove it from the reducer. Next, CAREFULLY drill about ten holes in a straight line, twist the PVC and repeat. Do this about six times.

*as I said before, be very careful when making the holes, our bit broke and sent a tiny peice of metal hurdling towards me and stuck in my arm.*

step 5 : SANDING
Take your sandpaper and wrap it around a stick. Shove the pipe over it. Move the stick up and down thus sanding the inside of the pipe.

step 6 : Cutting the pipe, again
Measure the larger pipe and cut it slightly shorter than the smaller pipe in the reducer. If it is too big pull the reducer further back on the smaller pipe, if its too small, vice-versa.

step 7 : Stuffing
Take about 20 cotton balls and tear them in half. Then shove them between the two pipes by any means necessary.

step 8 : Painting
Take the silencer and put the second reducer on it. Then, put it on a stick and paint it black. Let it sit overnight then WHAM-MO! you have a beautiful silencer.

Since the game is both mental and physical, it tends to be as fatiguing as snowboarding or skiing, while delivering the deep satisfaction of adventure and achievement. Paintball can deliver a world of positive emotional opportunities: to laugh and play with your friends, to take a shot at you boss without consequences, to reconnect with your son or daughter, or to really get to know your co-workers. Paintballs
Paintball is a sport,in which players compete, in teams or individually, to eliminate opponents by hitting them with pellets containing paint (referred to as a paintball) from a special gun called a paintball marker. Depending on the venue, games are played on either indoor or outdoor fields of varying size. A game field is scattered with natural or artificial terrain, which players use for strategic play.

Rules for playing paintball vary, but can include capture the flag, elimination, defending or attacking a particular point or area, or capturing objects of interest hidden in the playing area. Depending on the variant played, games can last from seconds to days.
